Nancy Guthrie Disappearance: Investigators Have Determined Who The Glove Found Near Her Home Belongs To!

Investigators know who that glove found near Nancy Guthrie‘s home belongs to!

As you know, one of the biggest pieces of evidence we’ve seen so far when it comes to Savannah Guthrie‘s mom’s disappearance is a glove. It was found by investigators a couple miles away from her home — but it’s super pivotal because it looks like the same glove in the home’s surveillance footage!

Now, Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos has answers. He said on Monday, in an interview with local outlet KVOA, that they tested DNA on the glove, and their initial theory was correct:

“There was some talk and discussion that it was police officers out in the field just discarding [the gloves], that is so far from the truth. We knew that at that time, we believed wholeheartedly that those gloves belonged to a restaurant and guess what? The owner of the glove, we found working at a restaurant across the street.”

So, what does this mean for the investigation? Well, it’s not good news… He told the outlet:

“It has nothing to do with the case.”

Ugh… So disappointing. But he’s not giving up hope just yet. Some other gloves found nearby, that could be different, have been sent off to Florida for DNA testing, which could take a while. He explained:

“It’s a challenge because we know we have DNA but now we have to deal with that mixture and how we’re going to separate it.”

The Pima County Sheriff’s Department later issued a statement on the unfortunate results. See (below):

Black gloves found about 2 miles from Nancy Guthrie’s home were traced through DNA to a local restaurant employee. That individual is not part of this investigation.
Lab analysis on other DNA evidence remains ongoing.

We’re still hoping for Nancy’s safe return.
