Denise Richards Debuts Transformative Facelift! See The Before-And-After Photos!

Denise Richards is a new woman!

Did the Wild Things actress just switch places with her ‘90s self? Because it sure looks like it! On Saturday, Denise took to Instagram to share a collaborative post with plastic surgeon Dr. Ben Talei revealing shocking before-and-after pics of her secret facelift! Dr. Talei called the reality star “one of the most lovely and beautiful people to ever walk this earth” and thanked her for trusting him with the “restoration and more importantly, the preservation of her character and beauty.” See her new youthful glow from an appearance at the 53rd Saturn Awards earlier this month (below):

On Instagram, Dr. Talei revealed the Starship Troopers actress had several procedures done in the process, including an upper blepharoplasty, a temporal brow lift, a lip lift to bring the outer corners of her mouth up, fat grafting, and more. See the before-and-after pics HERE.

In an interview with Allure published on Friday, Denise opened up more about the incredible transformation, which she underwent in June 2025:

“I wanted to put things back up, where they were before.”

The actress, who’s been a cultural icon since she burst onto the scene in the ‘90s, admitted she “was terrified” as this was the first time she had cosmetic surgery done on her face. But she’s not trying to hide it:

“Being in the public eye since my 20s, people know what I look like — a facelift is not something that I could hide.”

Reflecting on her before and after, the 55-year-old said:

“It is night and day. It’s shocking, actually.”

She hinted there were other celebs who “were more comfortable telling me about theirs,” but didn’t want to “name names.” But The World Is Not Enough actress wanted to be clear that for her, “it’s not just serums and working out and lasers.”

Prior to undergoing the surgery, Denise had thought she’d never go for a full facelift:

“I’m one who says ‘never say never,’ but I always said I would never get a facelift, because that’s my face. This is how I make my money. I’ve been in this business a long time. People know what I look like. I’ve never done anything aesthetically to my face. This is my nose. I’ve done a little Botox. I’ve done very little filler — it made me look like I was heavy; it just did not work for my face. I’ve never touched anything [on my face] like that. If things go a little sideways when you do some other part of your body, you could cover it. So I was always scared of a facelift, but I did want to do my neck — my late mom would always say that she had a turkey neck. I think it’s genetic. I had tried that [lifting] tape — a makeup artist showed it to me — and I’m like, ‘Well, if that’s where I want it to go, why not just put it back there?’ It was something that I’d been thinking about for two years, going back and forth, and the last six months [before my surgery], I was like, ‘I have to do this.’”

Denise shared her oldest daughters, including 22-year-old Sami Sheen and 20-year-old Lola Sheen, were “not happy” about the procedure:

“My oldest daughters were not happy that I was doing it. But I think now they understand, and they see that I still look like me. I think they were just worried, in general, of [me] having surgery. They were telling me I didn’t need it. I was too young. I told them that this is something that I want to do, and you may not agree with my decision, but I just want your support. I understand that you feel the way you do, but please know that this is something that I want to do for me.”

Reflecting on Sami’s history with plastic surgery, she said:

“I didn’t want [my daughter] Sami to get a nose job about two years ago. So when she said she didn’t want me to get a facelift, she said, ‘Mom, you did not want me to get a nose job.’ I said, ‘Yeah, but you were 20 years old and that’s your nose. That could change the way you look. For me, he’s just putting things back where they were. I’m not trying to change the way I look; I’m just trying to put things back. There’s a little difference, in my opinion.”

The Denise Richards & Her Wild Things star continued:

“But I understand her feelings. She said she wished she had my nose, but she got her dad’s nose. I told her, ‘Your dad has a beautiful nose, and it looks beautiful on you.’ The pressure of having to look a certain way, that’s hard — but how do I defend all of it, you know? I didn’t grow up with a mother that was in entertainment. I didn’t see her on covers of magazines. My daughters would come to photo shoots with me. They’ve seen me being all dolled up. That was my job. It’s hard for me to say ‘ignore the pressure,’ because I am guilty of being in a business where I talk about beauty, and show before-and-afters. So it’s a fine line.”

Prior to undergoing the facelift, Denise also dissolved the filler in her cheeks.
