Fans Of The Pitt Left Speechless After Actor Leaves Series Before Season 3!
A major player from The Pitt will NOT be returning for season 3!
On Thursday, Variety reported that the HBO Max original is losing Supriya Ganesh, who plays Dr. Samira Mohan. According to the outlet, the 28-year-old is exiting as part of a “story-driven” decision. The outlet noted the fictional Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Center is a learning hospital, so it’s normal for residents to come and go.
But where there’s loss, there’s also gain…
The outlet reported that Ayesha Harris, who plays night shift resident Dr. Parker Ellis, is being upgraded to a series regular for season 3.

Prior to the casting news, Supriya talked about the future of her character with Us Weekly:
“It’s up to the writers. Let’s see where they end up taking her. I think we left her in a really interesting spot. I’m really curious where she ends up going.”
