Mormon Wives Star Jessi Draper Defends Herself Amid Messy Divorce & Chase McWhorter Kiss Drama: 'I Make Mistakes'

Jessi Draper is reminding everyone that she, too, is only human and makes mistakes!

Secret Lives of Mormon Wives fans know life has been chaotic for the reality star lately. If you don’t, here’s the recap. Her estranged husband, Jordan Ngatikaura, filed for divorce after five years of marriage last month, which “blindsided” her because they had discussed doing it together once they told their kids. At the time of filing, they hadn’t yet.

Jessi then dropped a few bombshells about Jordan in an interview with Call Her Daddy, claiming he hired escorts during their relationship — and she has the receipts to prove it! Not only that, the DadTok member allegedly went to sex parties! All of which, if true, he possibly paid for with the hairstylist’s money since she’s the only one working now! Wild! We aren’t finished yet, though! There is more!

Everyone had been on Jessi’s side and was rooting for her in this next era of her life after the divorce news… until she betrayed her friend and co-star, Miranda McWhorter. DeuxMoi posted a tip to Instagram in March from a witness who claimed they saw the 33-year-old reality star “being cozy” and “kissing” Chase McWhorter “in front of a closer group of people from the party.” Chase, as you know, is Miranda’s estranged husband. He is also the ex-boyfriend of Jessi’s longtime best friend, Kate Racker.

This isn’t only a rumor. It’s actually true this time. Miranda confirmed it herself by posting a picture of Jessi’s apology flowers and a shady TikTok about her co-star being a “backstabber.” She also told Entertainment Tonight that Chase admitted “they kissed,” adding that she feels  “disrespected by” her ex and “slighted by my friend.” Ouch.

As we said, it has been a messy couple of weeks for Jessi. She has remained silent over the kissing drama, but it appears she is coming to her own defense since the dust has settled (and everyone is more focused on the Scamanda of it all!) She took to Instagram Stories on Wednesday to show that she moved into a new home amid her divorce, along with the caption:

“New beginnings”

Remember, Jessi had been living in a hotel after asking Jordan for a divorce on March 13 while he stayed in their marital house. We’re glad to see she has a place to call home now. Ch-ch-check it out (below):

Although Jessi didn’t name names or anything, she then took a moment to acknowledge she has made “mistakes,” but reminded followers that she is “just a human” like everyone else:

“My sisters stocked my new home with food and all the essentials + helped me unpack and organize all day. Grateful to have family and friends that remind me that even though I’m not perfect & I make mistakes, I’m worthy of being loved and I’m just a human being like everyone else. Here’s to a new chapter.”
